Four persons were today arrested in connection with the circulation of fake currency in Bhagalpur district today, a police oficer said.
On a tip off, two persons were arrested from Sheopuri locality and on the basis of information provided by them two others were nabbed from Kahalgaon area with fake currency, Sub-Divisional police officer(SDPO) Neeraj Kumar Singh said.
The fake currency had a face value of Rs 1.5 lakh, he said.
A search operation was on to arrest more persons involved in the illegal trade, the SDPO said.
