A man and his son were shot dead today in a village in Haryana's Sonepat district allegedly by a person known to them due to a dispute over distribution of water in the fields, police said.
The 55-year-old man and his son (26) were gunned down in the village by the accused, they said, adding senior police officials have reached the incident spot.
A police official said that a murder case has been registered against the accused and some of his accomplices and further investigation is on.
The 26-year-old victim was said to be employed with the Delhi police, they said.
