Senior officials of the state and central intelligence were also present during the drill by the FBI team.
Officials in the state secretariat and CMO helped the FBI team with details of the plan of the Writers' Building and its existing security maintained by the state government.
Later, the FBI team left for Raj Bhavan to conduct a similar drill there, the sources said.
US Ambassador to India Nancy Powell, accompanied by US Consul General Dean Thompson, called on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the state secretariat here yesterday.
