Female elephant found dead in TN

A female elephant was today found dead in an estate in Valparai, coming under the Anamalai Tiger Reserve area in the district.

Based on information, forest officials visited the place and were investigating to ascertain the cause of the death, police said.

The age of the elephant was estimated to be around ten, they said.
