FICN of face value of Rs 11 lakh seized in Malda district

The CID and BSF have seized fake Indian currency note (FICN) of face value of Rs 11 lakh from two separate places in West Bengal's Malda district, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team seized FICN of face value of Rs 7 lakh from the possession of two persons in Baishnabnagar Township of the district last evening.

The two persons were also arrested by the CID team.

The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel seized fake currency notes of the face value of Rs 4 lakh from the possession of a man from 18th Mile under the jurisdiction of Kaliachak police station.

 

The BSF personnel handed over the apprehended person and the fake currency notes to Kaliachak police station today, the police added.
