Fire gutted govt school, no one injured

A government higher secondary school building was gutted in a fire incident in Baramulla district of north Kashmir today, police said.

Fire broke out in the Government higher Secondary School at Nowpora in Kreeri, 40 kms from here, resulting in partial damage to the building, a police spokesman said.

He said no one was injured in the fire which was brought under control by a joint party of fire and emergency services and local police.

The cause of the fire was being ascertained, the spokesman added.
