Fisherman drowns in the Bay of Bengal; body still not found

A fisherman drowned in the Bay of Bengal sea, yesterday night, official sources said.

According to Fisheries Department Deputy Director T Kalyanam, a total of six fishermen from Nachugunta village of Nagayalanka district zone of Krishna district went out to sea in a mechanised fishing boat.

Accidentally, one fishermen called K Subramanyam (30) fell into sea. The others began searching for his body but couldn't trace it.

Later, the matter was informed to the police and Fisheries Department officials.

Today morning, the Nagayalanka police and district Fisheries Department officials began looking for the body, but it has not been traced until now.
 

The Nagyalanka police has registered a case.
