Five bus passengers electrocuted in Palamau

Five passengers of a bus were killed and eight others injured when they came in contact with a live wire near Nawadih village in Palamau district today, police said.

"The victims were travelling in a bus and sitting atop it when they came in contact with the electric wire," Superintendent of Police Y S Ramesh said here.

The injured were admitted to a hospital and the conditions of three of them are serious, he added.

The bus was travelling from Bishrampur to Medininagar when the incident happened.
