Union minister JP Nadda has said the country's borders are "highly-secured" and the government has given "full permission" to security forces to retaliate in case of firing from the Pakistani side.
Speaking at Yuva Sammelan programme here last evening, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants friendly relations with neighbouring countries but "terror and friendship" cannot go at the same time.
"If they (Pakistani side) fire one bullet, our government has ordered the security forces to fire till they stop firing and dare to attack again," he said.
He said during the UPA rule the forces "waited"for an order from Delhi to retaliate but now they "don't require any order".
"Our government says respond first and then seek permission," Nadda said.
Highlighting the "achievements" of the Modi government on completion of two years in office, he claimed the Opposition is unable to digest the "fast progress" of the country and engaging "negative politics" out of "frustration".
The Health Minister was accompanied by Minister for Labour Bandaru Dattatreya and BJPnational secretary Ramvichar Netam.
Keeping eye on the upcoming 2017 UPAssembly polls, Nadda appealed to the public to "topple" the Samajwadi Party government and asked his party workers to publicise welfare schemes launched by the Centre.
He claimed funds transferred by the Centre to the state is "not reaching" the intended beneficiaries.
Nadda said Prime Minister's visit abroad have encouraged foreign investorsto invest in India.
He said the Centre has announced setting up AIIMS at Gorakhpur district in Poorvanchal.
"The land which the state government provided is locked in some litigation. As soon as the UP government frees the land from litigation, construction work would begin," he claimed.
