Former roadways employee found murdered

A retired employee of Punjab Roadways was found murdered near the Mandialan Rashiwal road this morning, police said.

The body of Gurdeep Singh, a resident of Gharial, had injury marks on the neck, they said.

Singh left his house last evening, police said, adding that he did not return back.

A passerby spotted the body today and informed police.

On the complaint made by Singh's son Amarjit, a case of murder has been registered, police said.
