Former UP village pradhan injured in firing

A former village pradhan was injured in firing reportedly by unidentified men in Nevadi village, police said Saturday.

Station officer, Jethwara, Manish Pandey said Anil Yadav (48), ex-village pradhan of Nevadi village, was attacked Friday night over political rivalry.

He was admitted to the district hospital from where he was referred to Allahabad for treatment, the officer said.

On a complaint filed by the family members of the victim, a case has been registered against three persons, police added.
