Four killed in mishap

as many others injured when a truck and a jeep collided head-on here in Hargaon, police said.

The mishap took place on Leharpur Hargaon road, when a family of 8 was on its way to CHC Hargaon from Leharpur village.

Those killed were identified as couple Nisar Khan and Shahrool (both 45), Salamatullah 30 and Shaheen 26. The injured have been admitted to district hospital Sitapur, police said.

The driver of the truck fled after the incident, they said, adding, the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
