: A four member family, including two minor children, were electrocuted at Aramathivelur village in the district last night, police said.
Police said the mishap occured when the 44-year-old man was removing the clothes hung out to dry. The cloth string touched a loose live wire and he was electrocuted. His wife tried to save him by pulling him away, but she too suffered the same fate.
Their two minor children suffered major burns as they rushed out of the house on seeing their parents and clung onto them, police said
The children were admitted to a hospital but succumbed to burn injuries, they said.
