Four persons were killed on the spot and two persons injured when a car collided with a truck at a place on NH 60 in West Midnapore district in the early hours today.
The injured were rushed to Midnapore Medical College and Hospital where their condition was stated to be serious, the police said.
The accident took place at Dolapara under Kodali police station limits.
The identity of those killed could not be established.
The truck driver was absconding.
