Freight rates for Ahmedabad, Indore fall

Freight rates for the nine-tonne pay load section to Indore and Ahmedabad dropped by Rs 1,000 here today following easy availability of trucks.

Transporters said ample position of trucks in the market against restricted cargo movements led to fall in Ahmedabad and Indore freight rates.

Delhi to Indore and Ahmedabad freight rates looked down by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,200 and Rs 2,300.

Elsewhere, other destinations freight rates from capital remained around overnight levels on some support.
