 To bring transparency and accountability in implementation of welfare schemes, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today decided to release funds to village panchayats and other agencies through electronic transfer instead of the existing cheque system.



<p>    Badal has asked the Chief Secretary to issue necessary directions in this regard expeditiously, an official spokesperson said. </p>
