Furniture showroom owner attacked, robbed of Rs 50,000

A furniture showroom owner was allegedly attacked with baseball bat and robbed of Rs 50,000 by unidentified persons, police said today.

Two bike-borne persons barged in the showroom last night and attacked the owner identified as Des Raj (55) with baseball bat and robbed him of the amount, they said.

He was rushed to a hospital, police said, adding a case has been registered and efforts are on to trace the robbers.
