Garo Hills boy wins Gold in World Taekwondo championships
A martial arts artiste in Garo Hills Jarmin M Sangma won a gold in Taekwondo in the 53 kg category in the recently concluded 2nd World MAC Games held in New Delhi, according to information received here.
Jarmin had earlier won another international tournament in Nepal.
His win will come as a huge boost for opportunity starved Garo Hills where most sporting complexes house BSF or CRPF personnel.
The tournament was held at the Jamia Milia Islamia University Sports Complex from December 11 to 14.
