Girl, father remain in hospital after horse bolts at fair

A man and his 4-year-old daughter remain in serious condition after they were among five people hurt when a spooked horse bolted through a crowd at a Washington state fair.
Susan Gregg, a spokeswoman for Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said Saturday that the 38-year-old father and his daughter are stable but remain in intensive care after being flown to the hospital yesterday.
A vendor was with the horse and an empty carriage at the Southwest Washington Fair in Centralia, 80 miles south of Seattle, when the horse became frightened.
