Asking the MPs to come forward with developmental solutions, Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed today assured the representatives of the people that their suggestions would be carried out speedily.

Chairing a meeting attended by Union Development Minister Jairam Ramesh and several MPs from Jharkhand at the Raj Bhavan, Ahmed listened to the various problems, suggestions and difficulties placed by the MPs and assured them of carrying out developmental works speedily, according to sources in the Raj Bhavan.

Ramesh informed the meeting that from next fiscal the state would get funds for Indira Awas Yozana directly from the Centre, the sources said.

Congress MPs Subodh Kant Sahay, Dheeraj Sahu, Pradeep Kumar Balmachu, BJP MPs Yashwant Sinha, Nishikant Dubey and P N Singh and a couple of other MPs were present during the meeting.

They informed the Governor about various problems being faced by the people in their respective constituencies like drinking water, PDS, defective transformers, displacement, difficulty in getting land designs approved in Jamshedpur, irrigation and several other issues.

Jharkhand is under President's rule now.

The Two MPs of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantric), Babulal Marandi and Ajay Kumar have "boycotted" the meeting, protesting against what they alleged Congress rule through Raj Bhavan.
