Guj: communal clash over kite-flying in Anand district, 1 dead

A quarrel over kite-flying led to a clash between groups belonging to two communities in which one person was killed in Vaherakhadi village in Gujarat's Anand district today.

"One person was killed, while another sustained severe injuries following a clash between two communities over some petty issue related to kite-flying in Vaherakhadi village," Anand district superintendent of police Ashok Kumar Yadav said.

There was stone-pelting and police deployed extra force, he said. No arrest had been made yet.
