Gujarat NRE Coke today reported a net loss of Rs 56.34 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.
The company had reported a net loss of Rs 66.76 crore in the year-ago period, Gujarat NRE Coke said in a BSE filing.
Total income from operations rose to Rs 242.03 crore in April-June period of current financial year from Rs 62.99 crore in the same period of 2014-15 fiscal, it added.

Gujarat NRE Coke has two metallurgical coke plants in Khambhalia and Bhachau in Gujarat and the third plant in Dharwad in Karnataka.
GNCL has also forayed into steel making and power generation through the renewable energy route.
The company has 87.5 MW wind power energy and also has a mini steel mill in Gujarat to recycle steel scraps using green wind energy to manufacture TMT Bars.
The company is currently setting up 30 MW power plants out of the waste heat emanating from the coke making process.
