Gur closes steady on subdued buying

Gur prices settled steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today following scattered demand amid restricted supplies.

Besides, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets displayed a steady trend in thin trading.

Marketmen said sporadic buying support as well as ample stocks position in the markets mainly held prices at last levels.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,400-2,500, pedi Rs 2,500-2,600, dhayya Rs 2,700-2,800 and shakkar Rs 2,800-2,900.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,200-2,250, chakku Rs 2,200-2,400, khurpa Rs 2,100-2,150 and Ladoo Rs 2,300-2,350.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,200-2,250 and dhayya Rs 2,300-2,350.
