Hardcore Maoist surrenders

A hardcore Maoist, wanted in connection with at least six cases, today surrendered before the district officials in Khagaria district of Bihar, official sources said.
Sunil Yadav (about 40 years), said to be the CPI(Maoist)'s self-styled 'area commander' of Koshi division surrendered at Alauli police station in the presence of the District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Singh and the Superintendent of Police Deepak Varnwal, the sources said.
Yadav was wanted in about half-a-dozen cases of naxal violence in the district since joining the proscribed outfit about five years ago, they said.
