Haryana govt implements 'Know Your Case' scheme

In a bid to bring transparency in the functioning of police department, Haryana government has implemented 'Know Your Case' scheme under which people can find status of their pending complaints and FIRs.

Under this scheme, special days have been fixed during which people are invited to visit police stations and offices of gazetted police officers and obtain information about their pending FIRs and complaints, a spokesman of the Police Department said.

He said that till May 15, about 1,700 people visited police stations and offices of gazetted police officers in the Karnal district.

Of these, about 1,300 obtained information about pending complaints and about 400 obtained information about criminal cases.
 

The spokesperson said that in Yamunanagar district, about 500 and 250 people obtained information about pending complaints and criminal cases, respectively.

Similarly, in Rohtak district, about 470 and 350 people obtained information about pending complaints and criminal cases respectively.
