Congress today sought to portray Haryana much ahead than Gujarat in terms of progress saying the state tops in per capita income whereas the BJP-ruled state stood at tenth position.
These days Gujarat was being compared in terms of development, but it is only Haryana where actual development has taken place, Congress general secretary Shakeel Ahmed said while addressing a 'Jan Shakti Rally' at Kharia village in Sirsa district's Rania area.
Gujarat ranks 11th in infrastructure, 14th in health and 17th in education, he pointed out and said, "These figures show the real picture of Gujarat."

Ahmed, who is in-charge of the party's affairs in Haryana said, Gujarat is the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and people would teach Narendra Modi a lesson in the coming Lok Sabha elections "for his misdeeds."
Denying allegations made by some leaders on regional bias in Haryana's development he said, under Bhupinder Singh Hooda, uniform development was being ensured in the state.
"I recently visited Mewat along with Haryana Congress chief Phool Chand Mullana where people of Mewat, Gurgaon and Bhondsi praised Hooda's leadership," he said adding, it shows there was no regional bias.
Earlier, while addressing the rally, Chief Minister Hooda supported Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on providing a corruption-free government without tainted leaders.
Hooda, who laid foundation stones of various development projects worth Rs 90 crore in the Rania Assembly segment, said the INLD-BJP government remained in power from 1999 to 2005, but had spent only Rs 749.27 crore in Sirsa district whereas, the present government has so far spent over Rs 3896.13 crore on various development works.
Speaking on the occasion, Haryana Congress chief Phool Chand Mullana expressed concern that some detractors within the Congress were trying to malign the party's image for their vested political interests and requested Ahmed to strongly deal with them.
