Heat conditions prevail in Jammu

The man today predicted dry for the next three days, indicating rise in temperatures across the region.

The city recorded a high of 39.6 degrees Celsius, 0.6 degrees above normal yesterday and the minimum was recorded at 27.2 degrees Celsius, 2.5 notches above normal during this part of the season, MeT officials said here today.

While at 36.9 degress, Katra, the base camp for the pilgrims visiting in district, was the second hottest recorded place in province, they said.

The maximum and minimum temperature has dropped to 34.2 and 25.6 degrees Celsius, respectively, on June 9 due to light rains after the city recorded the highest day temperature of 43.5 degrees Celsius on May 29 and night temperatures of 33.2 degrees Celsius on June 5.
