Heroin worth Rs 200 crore seized in Punjab

A whopping 40 kg heroin worth Rs 200 crore in street market was seized by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) from a truck near Mullanpur road here today.

A truck with sticker "On Military Duty" was intercepted by the sleuths of DRI on Ludhiana-Ferozepur road.

On search, the consignment of 40 kg heroin was found.

Rashpal Singh was arrested in this connection while his accomplice managed to escape, a release issued by DRI said.

Further probe into the case was on, DRI said.
