Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has announced a financial aid of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of the kin of those killed in Dharhara hooch tragedy in the district, a senior official here said.
The CM has directed to provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the family members of three persons, who died allegedly after consuming spurious liquor in Darhara village, Divisional Commissioner R P Goswami said here today.
Three persons died while 15 others were taken ill on Friday night after allegedly consuming spurious liquor in Dharhara village.

Three policemen has already been suspended in this connection and the role of excise department officers were being probed, Goswami said, adding the viscera of one of the person, who died in the incident, was being sent to FSL.
The locals had complained that a candidate of the upcoming Gram Pradhan elections had thrown a party in the village where the victims had allegedly consumed spurious liquor.
