HP: Tobacco products seized, businessman held

Shimla police have arrested a person at Cart Road here for allegedly possessing six bags of illicit tobacco.

The sale and consumption of tobacco and gutka products was banned in Himachal Pradesh but some people were involved in illegal sale of these products, SHO Sadar Police Station, Govind Ram said.

City businessman Rakesh was arrested while he was making effort to store the illegal tobacco consignment and booked under HP Food Safety Act 2006, he said.
