Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki today called upon the youth to imbibe the thoughts of Bhimrao Ambedkar in their words and action and stressed on social inclusion for a harmonious society.
"This will help in attaining mutual concordance in the society," he said.
In Indian society, untouchability evolved as a discriminating factor but Ambedkar led a bloodless change to it, Solanki said during the unveiling of Bhimrao Ambedkar's statue in the lawns of Department of Laws at Kurukshetra University campus here.

The Governor said as a result of Ambedkar's call for education, the downtrodden were able to make a place for themselves in the society which brought a sea change in their lives.
"Ambedkar is not just a leader of the Dalits, but has made significant contribution to the nation by drafting the Constitution of India, which has several provisions to achieve a harmonious and equitable society," he said.
Guest of Honour of the function, Union Minister of State Vijay Sampla also spoke on the occasion.
