Humid conditions prevail across Bihar

Humid conditions prevailed in most parts of Bihar with the weather department forecasting a generally cloudy sky with intermittent rains in major towns of the state in the next 24 hours.

Light to moderate rainfall occurred at a few places over the state except north east and north central parts, where rainfall occurred at one or two places, the Met office said today.

In its forecast for the next 24 hours, it said there would be generally cloudy sky with intermittent rains in Patna, Gaya and Bhagalpur, while Purnea is expected to receive a moderate rainfall tomorrow.

Patna witnessed a sunny day coupled with high levels of humidity all through the day today and recorded a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius.
 

Gaya recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius, Bhagalpur was at 35.6 degrees Celsius, while Purnea was the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 36.3 degrees Celsius, a Met department official said.

Patna recorded maximum humidity of 80 per cent and Gaya recorded 88 per cent in the morning.

While Bhagalpur recorded 83 per cent and Purnea recorded 84 per cent maximum humidity in the morning.

Patna registered trace rainfall, while Gaya recorded 3.4 mm and Purnea registered 2.4 mm rains, the Met department added.
