An IDBI Bank officer was held today by Lokayukta Police for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 for sanctioning a loan in Madhya Pradesh's Barwani district.
Vikas Patidar (30), Regional Sales Manager, was caught when he was allegedly accepting the money from complainant in his car, said Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Dilip Soni.
The complainant had sought a loan of Rs 7 lakh for opening a general store under a state government scheme, he said.
Patidar has been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is on, Soni added.
