IEML declares 10% interim dividend for FY15

India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML) today declared an interim dividend of 10 per cent for financial year 2014-2015.

At its 14th annual general meeting (AGM) held here today, IEML Chairman Rakesh Kumar informed the shareholders that the centre is now one of the largest exhibition and conference venues of the country.

"At today's meeting, seven persons were elected as Directors (including Independent Director) after e-voting, which was introduced for the first time at the AGM," said Kumar.
Qriyo Infolabs raises $160k from Idein Ventures

* Technology-based learning platform Qriyo Infolabs today said it has raised a seed funding of USD 160,000 from UAE-based early stage venture capital firm, Idein Ventures.
 

It is currently active in Jodhpur and is in the process of expansion to Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Jointly founded by IIT Bombay alumni Mudit Jain, with 4 years of working experience with MNCs like Finmechanics and PWC, and serial entrepreneur Rishabh Jain, Qriyo offers courses at home from wide domains including academics, extracurricular and fitness.

IAN invests in DesignBids

* Delhi-based startup DesignBids, a marketplace for architecture and interior design services, has secured an undisclosed amount of funding from the Indian Angel Network.

Angel investors Ambarish Raghuvanshi and Arihant Jain have led this round of investment on behalf of IAN and will join the company board for further mentoring the team.

DesignBids is a platform that connects projects owners with architects and interior designers by using a reverse-auction mechanism, very similar to the floating of tenders, which is commonly practised for government projects.

The company was founded in November 2015, and DesignBids has acquired over a 100 projects with 300 designers registered on the website.

Yes Bank to launch 'Yes InControl'

* Private sector lender Yes Bank today said it is launching 'Yes InControl' which will help its customers to fully control their Yes Bank debit card usage.

The move is in partnership with MasterCard and would allow customers to customise usage parameters and limits for their Yes Bank debit cards for better safety and efficiency.

"YES InControl enables this by allowing the customers to suitably configure the parameters such as daily/ weekly budgeting, merchant category, location and time of the day," the bank said in a statement.
Kotak Mahindra to launch account opening via tablets

* Private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank will soon introduce account opening process through computer tablet, a senior bank official said today.

On a pilot basis, the bank is trying out the process across select cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune, its Senior Executive Vice President Ambuj Chandna said.

"The effort is aimed at making the process hassle-free and no complicated forms need be filled up and can be done at the customer's door-step through a computer-tablet then and there," he said.

Zwick Roell to train city students

* German firm Zwick Roell as part of developing skill among young individuals has partnered Chennai-based Don Bosco Mondo to establish a programme -- Zwick Roell Academy.

"The company's aim is to train disadvantaged young people from poorest backgrounds and provide them with skills needed to start a career", a company statement said.

"Our project in Chennai is designed to help young people who normally do not have access to a decent education, to learn an appealing occupation..", Zwick Roell AG, CEO, Jan Stefan Roan said.

Axis Bank's collateral free loans to urban low-income women * Axis Bank today launched a collateral free lending service for low income women groups in urban localities.

"Axis Bank today announced the launch of its Urban Microfinance programme, providing collateral free credit facilities to low-income women groups in urban locations through its technology driven 'TAB based lending' solution", it said in a statement.

The urban micro lending initiative, under its flagship microfinance programme 'Axis Sahyog' was launched at Axis Bank's Hadapsar branch in Pune.

Axis Bank said it will disburse these loans to self-employed women who are part of the Joint Liability Groups.
