India wins a silver in Asian Beach Games

India added another medal in the 5th Asian Beach Games with Harish Banghel winning a silver in the men's middleweight Muay Thai event on the second day of competition here today.
Banghel lost to Zhang Yongkang of China in the final of 71-75kg category to settle for a silver.
Muay Thai is a combination of boxing and martial arts originated in Thailand.

Yesterday, India had opened their medal account with Pinky Balhara bagging a bronze in kurash.
India has a contingent of 208 members in the 5th Asian Beach Games.
The athletes will participate in 13 disciplines which include Swimming, Kabaddi, Handball, Kurash, Pencak Silat, Sambo, Ju-Jitsu, Woodball, Sepaktakraw, Pentaque, Shuttlecock, Voninam and Muay Thai.
In the previous edition held in 2014 in Phuket, India had won two gold, a silver and seven bronze medals.
