A 35-year-old Indian man was arrested today by Nepalese police for making numerous fake calls to hotline at the Metro Control.
Sandesh Raya alias Anil who hails from Uttar Pradesh and resides in Jaisidewal here was arrested for making hundreds of false calls, the Metropolitan police said.
Meanwhile, police also said the hotline is receiving more than 10,000 call hoaxes every month.
It received 11,106 such calls in just nine days from November 27 to 25, they said.
