A day after she was authorised to take decisions on behalf of Chief Minister Harish Rawat who is recuperating from a neck injury at AIIMS, Indira Hridayesh today said she will do justice to the work assigned to her.
"Important decisions will not be held up and matters of governance will be disposed of through proper consultations with Cabinet colleagues and officials," Hridayesh said at a Janta Darbar held at her residence in Haldwani.
"Individuals may fall sick, but not a government," she said, adding that the process of development will go on relentlessly.
Rawat was admitted to AIIMS at Delhi on June 13, after sustaining a neck injury during a rough helicopter ride.
