The Goa government has assured that most of the infrastructural facilities for the Lusofonia Games will be in place before the October 10 deadline here.
"Mostly all the stadiums would be completed before the deadline of October 10, but in case of one facility near Goa university we are trying to finish it at least within the deadline," Keshav Chandra, Chief Executive Officer, Lusofonia Games 2013 told reporters here.
The Portuguese Commonwealth Games scheduled in October-November this year would be held across six venues, two of which are already constructed stadiums including Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Fatorda near Margao town.

Chandra said the work on infrastructure for the Games began late, which was further compounded by the rains.
"But still we have set a deadline of October 10 to complete all the infrastructure," he said.
The opening ceremony of the event is scheduled to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Fatorda, the details of which are kept under wraps by the organizers.
