J&K Tourism Minister condoles death of Swiss national

Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Minister Ghulam Ahmed Mir condoled the death of the Swiss national who was killed in an avalanche during skiing in the famous ski resort of Gulmarg.

"We deeply condole the death of the Swiss national, Arno Roy in the avalanche in Gulmarg today," Mir said and expressed sympathies with the family members of Roy.

Roy was among three tourists found dead after being trapped in snow during skiing in the Gulmarg resort between Kongdoori and Afferwath.

Five of his associates were rescued after they were struck by the avalanche and taken to hospital.

The Minister asked the authorities to provide the rescued persons best possible medicare treatment.
