Jat stir: Haryana govt waives power dues of affected people

The Haryana government today waived electricity dues of those consumers whose properties got damaged during Jat quota agitation.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said, "Electricity dues for the current and next billing cycles will be exempted for the consumers whose houses or commercial properties have been damaged or looted during the agitation throughout the state from February 15 to 22, 2016."
There was a demand of waiver of electricity dues from affected people who suffered massive financial loss during the stir.
