Jonah Hill joins "Django Unchained"

Although production has started and the trailers have been released, Hill has joined the cast and will start shooting for it soon, reported Aceshowbiz.

The Weinstein Company has confirmed Hill's involvement in the film but did not unleash the role he would be playing.

Tarantino originally wanted Hill to play a kid named Scotty because he fit the character's "chubby nerd" description.

"Django Unchained" stars Jamie Foxx in the titular role and Leonardo DiCaprio. It will hit the US screens on December 25.
