Naveen Jindal-led JSPL today said the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) at its Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) facility produced a record 10,000 tonnes of crude steel in a single day.
"This highest production based on DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) and hot metal is a testimony of the company's operational excellence in steel making," the company said in a statement adding, this is a "benchmark in steel production".
JSPL overhauled and upgraded the Raigarh steel facility, which included modernisation of two blast furnaces, Electric Arc Furnaces, plate mill and slab caster.

Idea Cellular records highest RMS growth in Q4 FY15 * Telecom operator Idea Cellular today said that it has maintained its track record of being the fastest growing operator India by recording a highest revenue market share growth in fourth quarter as well as in fiscal year ended March 31, 2015 as per TRAI data.
Idea in a statement said that it has recorded "RMS growth of 1.6 per cent in fourth quarter of financial year 2015 and 1.3 per cent in FY'15" over corresponding period a year ago, as per the financial report released by TRAI recently.
