Katy Perry announces new world tour

Pop star Katy Perry has announced plans to tour world in support of her latest album Prism.

The 'Roar' hitmaker will play shows across the globe and took to micro-blogging site Twitter to detail her preparations, reported Digital Spy.

"I am going on a world tour!!!Playing all your favorite songs and all the brand new ones!," she tweeted.

The 29-year-old's previous 'California Dreams' Tour spanned 124 dates over a year and went on to become one of the highest-grossing tours of 2011.

Perry will release 'Unconditionally' as the second single from Prism, which topped the charts around the world when it was released last month.
