Family members of a 34-year-old man, who was allegedly shot dead by drug mafia in southeast Delhi's Taimoor Nagar last month, Wednesday met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who assured them of all possible help from the AAP government.

According to MLA Amanatullah Khan, the chief minister assured Rupesh Kumar's family that the AAP government will take care of education of his children, Rs 5 lakh as compensation and a job to his wife in civil defence.

Khan said the family, accompanied by representatives of around 300 villages, met the chief minister at his official residence in the morning.

The AAP Okhla MLA said they also demanded that a road in the Taimoor Nagar area should be named after the victim.

Kumar was allegedly shot dead by two unidentified men in front of his minor son and a nephew while he was watching them play.

In the CCTV footage, Kumar was seen in the street when two men walk past him and one of them pumps a bullet in his chest.
