A 27-years-old youth who was allegedly kidnapped from near his residence here, has returned home after the ransom money was paid to kidnappers police said today .
Aditya, son of local businessman, Jai Bhagwan Singhala was allegedly kidnapped from in front of his residence here on Sunday night.
Superintendent of Police Simmardeep Singh said alleged kidnappers had asked ransom of Rs 4 crore for releasing him.
He said the police were activated promptly and found out location of the kidnappers by tracking the phone numbers used to make the ransom call, he said.
On the basis of preliminary enquiry it is found that different teams of kidnappers having five to eight members each were involved in the case, he said.
The police have been able to identify few of the alleged kidnappers, he said.
He claimed police parties have been sent to neighbouring states in connection with the case and alleged kidnappers would be arrested very soon and the ransom money recovered.
Earlier on Sunday night Aditya was kidnapped and forced into a car in front of his residence when he had gone out for a night stroll at about 10 pm.
Singhala's residence is situated opposite to the residence of INLD Haryana state President, Ashok Arora, in Sapra colony here.
