L&T Construction bags orders worth Rs 1,167 crore

The company received orders from RINL, IOCL, PHMED

Engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said its construction arm has bagged orders worth Rs 1,167 crore across business verticals.

"The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth Rs 1,167 crore across various business segments," the company said in a filing to the BSE.

"An order has been received from the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL)...An order has been bagged from Karnataka Urban Water Supply & Distribution Board....The business also bagged an order from Public Health & Municipal Engineering Department(PHMED), Government of Andhra Pradesh...," the filing said.

In the water and effluent treatment segment, the company has bagged engineering, procurement and construction orders worth Rs 843 crore from prestigious customers, the filing said.
 

In metallurgical and material handling business, the company bagged orders worth Rs 259 crore including add-ons.

"A fresh order has been secured from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd for construction of pet coke handling system in Haldia," it said.

Additional orders worth Rs 65 crore have been bagged by other businesses from various ongoing projects.
