Labourer booked in connection with abduction of minor girl

A labourer, engaged with a brick kiln, was today booked on the charges of kidnapping a teenaged girl of his neighbourhood at Fatehgarh Korotana village in the district, police said.

According to the complaint lodged by the 15-year-old victim's mother, the accused Jhony kidnapped the girl with the intention of marrying her, they said.

The accused, along with the girl, could not be traced as yet. However, efforts are on to nab him, police added.
