Lawyer hacked to death

A lawyer was hacked to death today in a village here when the auction of crops of a disputed land was going on, police said.

Some assailants attacked Suresh Bansal with a sharp edged weapons and hacked him to death in the presence of Naib Tehsildar and revenue officials in Panchayat Bhawan at Bhattu Kalan village when the auction of produce of the disputed land was on, they said.

After the attack, the assailants escaped on a motorcycle.

No arrest has been made so far in this regard.
