Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices were down 0.61 per cent to Rs 114.50 per kg amid bearish global trend and muted domestic demand in futures trading today as participants trimmed their exposure.

Lead for delivery in July declined by 70 paise or 0.61 per cent to Rs 114.50 per kg in a business turnover of 1 lot.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in June shed 65 paise or 0.57 per cent to Rs 113.85 per kg in 276 lots.

Marketmen said the fall in lead futures was due to a weak trend overseas as industrial metals retreated amid Chinese manufacturing data suggesting lackluster growth in the world's second-largest economy.

China is the biggest consumer of raw materials.

Globally, lead for delivery in three months fell by 0.9 per cent at the London Metal Exchange.
