Light rains brought respite from scorching heat in parts of Rajasthan today as the maximum temperatures dropped by 1 to 4 degrees Celsius.
Jodhpur registered 30.4mm of rainfall, followed by 5.6 mm in Bikaner and 1.8 mm in Sriganganagar, the MeT Department said.
In the last 24 hours till 8.30am, Bansur, Khajuwala and Kishangarhwas received 3 cm of rainfall each, whereas Bikaner tehsil, Bhahadurpur, Govindgarh received 1 cm of rainfall each.

Due to the rainfall in these places, maximum temperatures dipped by 1 to 4 degrees, it said.
Meanwhile, Kota was recorded as the hottest place in the state with a high of 41.7 degrees Celsius, it was followed by 40.7 degrees Celsius in Jaipur, 40.5 degrees Celsius in Churu, 39.6 degrees Celsius in Barmer.
Ajmer and Jaisalmer recorded their maximum at 39.5 degrees Celsius each, the weatherman said.
The Department has predicted slight fall in temperatures in the next 24 hours while warning about dust storm/thunderstorms with rains likely at a few places in the eastern and at isolated places in the western parts of the state.
